RwandAir is set to operate flights to Accra (Ghana) and Douala (Cameroon) on June 1, 2013 and Juba (South Sudan) on July 1, 2013.
Flying from its hub in Kigali (Rwanda), the airline–that is going to be in direct competition with Kenya Airways and Ethiopian Airlines–Rwandair will fly to Accra five times a week and to Douala four times a week. The airline already flies to Brazzaville (Congo), Libreville (Gabon) and Lagos (Nigeria).
The flights to Juba will be three times a week, according to John Mirenge, the RwandAir Chief Executive Officer.
Meanwhile, Kenya Airways is on July 1, 2013 commencing three-times-a-week flights to Abu Dhabi, the political capital of the United Arab Emirates, following a partnership between Kenya Airways and Etihad, the national airline of Abu Dhabi.
