If you are in Nairobi but don’t yet know how or where to spend your mid-month weekend, we have some ideas for you.
Running at Alliance Francaise in the Nairobi Central Business District is a theatre play titled A Kiss through the Veil. A decade after losing his wife to politically-instigated violence that also confines him to a wheelchair besides sending his son to prison, Daniel wonders whether he will ever receive justice. The play is for two days only, Friday and Saturday. Gate charges are Sh500 per head.
Coming hot on the heels of A Kiss through the Veil on August 13 and 14 is a tourism promotion event dubbed The Hub: Karen Tourism Expo. Here, you are likely to win a ticket to Europe or two flights to Masai Mara and accommodation prizes. Entry is free.
As the weekend rushes inexorably towards the end, you may find joy and fulfillment in Art Fest: Art In The Wild on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the cost of Sh500-Sh1000.
