CONSEQUENCES, a film scripted by Florence Onyango, directed by Carol Odongo and produced by Cajetan Boy of Et Cetera Productions, shall be shown and discussed at the Forum that has been held every last Monday of the month throughout the year since 2005 when it was launched.
The 66th Forum comes at a time when Lola Kenya Screen, under whose umbrella the Forum is held, is now embarking on a vigorous and much more robust promotion of short films from eastern Africa around the world.
The Forum, according to Lola Kenya Screen, “is run pursuant to one of our objectives of helping improve the quality of local film production and developing an audience base for the same; the Forum is for audiovisual media players—filmmakers, film critics, film writers, students, scholars, policy-makers, funders, actors and actresses, social awareness groups, cultural agencies and other players with a stake in the film sector of eastern Africa.”
Lola Kenya Screen is also looking for short animation, fiction, documentary and experimental films from practitioners in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, eastern Congo-Kinshasa, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Djibouti and Somalia for their monthly screening, discussion and networking platform that runs throughout the year. Lola Kenya Screen is also looking for computer games and creatively-packaged music videos.
“We are also still looking for volunteer event planners, moderators and films for this monthly Film Forum in Nairobi, Kenya.”
