    African Film Kenya

    Foreword

ComMattersKenya, the publishers of African Cine Week Kenya, is issuing the second improved edition of the book as African Film Kenya in 2006. You are warmly invited to become a part of this initiative that markets Kenya as an audiovisual destination.

Published in collaboration with the French Cultural and Cooperation Centre (FCCC), African CineWeek Kenya, which was the first attempt at documenting Kenya’s audiovisual potential, was distributed at world leading international film, arts and cultural festivals in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.

African Film Kenya is going to contain information on Kenya, films made here by Kenyans and foreigners, and filming and broadcasting regulations. Information on Kenya is to be centered on institutions and organizations that are related to, complement and benefit from the film sector, infrastructural back-up and other Kenyan attractions.

This edition, more than its predecessor, is going to be distributed at all the leading international and domestic film, cultural and art festivals around the world. It is also going to be distributed through cultural centers and institutions, Embassies and High Commissions, partnering hotels and airlines, and other promotional events intended at marketing Kenya.

African Film Kenya is therefore an excellent platform for local and international companies and organizations that relate to the audiovisual industry to showcase their products, services, programmes and values throughout the world, throughout the year, and in years to come.
    Partnership

Partnering with African Film Kenya is going to be a memorably fulfilling investment to institutions/organizations, companies and individuals in Kenya and the region.

All the partners and sponsors earn themselves publicity space and special coverage in the African Film Kenya, besides future mentions and publicity in some of our publications, both international and local partner publications, publicity materials and PR activities.
