If we don’t accept the idea that we deserve to prosper, then even when abundance falls in our lap we will not take it.
Most of us human beings have an imperfection within us, but there is one developing within the youth: letting their parents to make decisions for them. Most youth are driven by mob psychology, going after careers which are not of their choices.
Many children abdicate their career choice decision to their parents on the belief that parents want what is best for their kids; in the real sense some parents do it because their parents also never allowed them to do what they wanted. Still others do it as a fulfillment of what they never achieved.
Career choice is a crucial decision and is supposed to be an individual’s choice for building one’s own life. It’s high time parents left their kids to make their own decisions concerning what careers they should take. The only way they can help is by correcting or by advising them but not making the decisions for them.
The youth themselves are also part of the problem; some are too choosy and have put stands that they don’t consider certain jobs as fit because they don’t involve working in an office. Some who are driven by their peers and end up doing courses because so and so is doing it while some have even crossed the bridge of doing a career because it involves loads and loads of money.
Well, never accept to be driven by money because the love for money is the root to all evil and the only caution in the long run is not how much you make, it’s how much you keep and how many generations you keep it. Always remember, what you get by reaching your destination isn’t nearly as important as what you become by reaching that destination.
Very many people have gone to university, studied for three or four years, attained their degrees then later on realised that what they did is not what they wanted. This is quite annoying and more so a waste of time and money.
However difficult it may seem, my fellow youth, always remember to defend your choices. You are the only person holding the key to your success. Always strive to lead and not to follow in life, because success is never FINAL whereas failure is never FATAL.
