ETHIOPIAN 767 VS883_933Ethiopian Airlines (Ethiopian), that has just received the Certificate of Global Growth Company of 2015 from the World Economic Forum on September 8, 2015 in Dalian, People’s Republic of China, has announced special offers for travellers who book online and whose journey begins in Addis Ababa, Madrid, Washingtone DC, and Los Angeles.

Ethiopian also informs passengers that upgrading their flight from economy class to business with miles attracts a £70 additional Great Britain departure tax to be collected on behalf of Government Tax Revenue Department.”

The tax liability, Ethiopian says, “applies to all passengers receiving a service benefit over and above basic economy. Passengers are personally liable to pay this tax, which is not a charge by the airline but by the government, and is of no monetary benefit to the airline.”
