Saying the lecture is for intellectuals, seekers of information or any open-minded thinker, Maillu says "I shall deliver the lecture based on my long research on the subject out of which I have gathered invaluable knowledge. I’ve got shocking material to show witchcraft is real, scientific and is a crucial key to understanding and developing Africa."What comes to your mind whenever you hear the word ‘witchcraft’?

David G Maillu, Kenya’s Father of Pop Literature, not only says he has benefited from the art but also invites you to a public lecture to share with you what he terms as ‘the immense benefits of witchcraft’.

Maillu contends that “Witchcraft is part and parcel of African culture. Even after colonial distortion, witchcraft is very much alive in Africa where it is upheld by any enlightened African from state Presidents to the village elders. Witchcraft is in all spheres of the African’s activities.”

He argues that ‘there is great need in reeducating the African in unfolding the dynamics of thinking and the benefits of witchcraft’.

But what is witchcraft?

“It is a very broad term which basically stands for secret or hidden knowledge,” Maillu says. “Within this hidden knowledge lies immense wealth and heritage of the African thought expressed in many practical ways which entail exploitation of applied sciences based on the environment in which we live, and deep knowledge of the dynamics of the human body, biochemistry and psychiatry. It is in witchcraft where the African is superior to the White man in
metaphysics.”
