Only seven airlines have not caused any fatal accident over the past three decades, according to research.
According to a survey by a German organisation known as JACDEC, the seven airlines are Air Berlin, Finnair, TAP, Qantas, Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific Airways and All Nippon Airways (ANA).
Lufthansa with the ranking of 0,005 is in the 21st place among the largest and safest airlines though an airbus belonging to Lufthansa crashed on September 14, 1993 due to bad weather conditions at Warszawa Airport, Poland. Two people lost their lives in the accident.
Air New Zealand, according to Traveller-online.at, may belong among the safest airlines though its a DC -10 aircraft full of tourists crashed in Antarctica killing 257 people in November 1979. That accident, however, is not included in the survey.

The survey also showed the most dangerous airlines as: Brazilian TAM with the ranking note of 1,397, 6 accidents and 336 dead since 1980; China Airlines with the ranking note of 1,286, 9 accidents and 755 dead and Brazilian company GOL Transportes Aéros, established in 2001 and with a ranking note of 1,168, one accident and 154 dead.
Saudi Arabian Airlines (1,030), Garuda Indonesia (Note 0,960) and Korean Air (Note 0,716) are also considered dangerous.
