Kenya Airways announces that all her international departures have been consolidated into Unit 2 that has been re-opened at her Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) hub in Nairobi.
Additionally, JKIA has a new temporary International Arrivals facility to provide improved services for international passengers. The facility at the Parking Garage, Kenya Airways informs her passengers, will replace the previous temporary tented International Arrivals set up four weeks ago at the JKIA State Pavilion.

“All these improvements are geared towards ensuring the comfort of passengers travelling to and from Nairobi, and those connecting through the facility. We are at full operations and the airport is safe with facilities in place to facilitate seamless processing of transfers,” a statement signed by Dr Titus Naikuni, Group Managing Director and CEO of Kenya Airways, says.
Meanwhile, Fly 540 has scheduled daily flights from Nairobi to Lodwar, the main town in the arid Turkana region in northern Kenya where oil and water have recently been discovered.
Fly 540 departs Nairobi from the temporary domestic terminal at the Cargo section of JKIA.
