raleigh studios, hollywood, california, usa, international familiy film festival ifffAn annual international film, screenplay and comic book competition for professionals, students and youth that is scheduled for November 6-8, 2015 in Hollywood, California, USA, is calling for entries from all over the world.

The event, known as International Family Film Festival (IFFF) and that marks its 20th year in 2015,says it “focuses on the family and those relationships that make up society’s most fundamental unit.”

Submissions may be made through filmfreeway.com or directly to the IFFF offices in Burbank, California, USA.

Submission guidelines for films, screenplays and YouthFest! projects are available at iffilmfest.org/index.php/entries.

“IFFF presents a selection of professional level Panel Discussions that inform aspiring and working film professionals about ‘best practices’ regarding film financing, production, distribution, marketing, screenwriting and other significant current trends related to the creation of family films,” IFFF, whose Executive Director is Chris Shoemaker and Programme Director Patte Dee McKee, says.

Saying its “screenwriting competition showcases screenwriting excellence,” IFFF says finalists in each category have excerpts from their screenplays performed by professional LA actors (sponsored by the Lauren Patrice Nadler Acting School) before a live festival audience during the IFFF Screenwriters Showcase. Screenplay winners receive a Winner’s Certificate and the newest version of Final Draft® writing software.

The other festival highlight, besides the IFFF Screenwriters Showcase, is the IFFF Youthfest! Short Films, Comic Books and Screenplay that iargets 8-17-year-olds worldwide. The Comic Book competition winners/finalists receive an embossed certificate and receive a downloadable v. of Comic Life3 software (or most current version).
