A young woman is involved in an accident that leaves her paralyzed. Unable to go out and earn a living, her, husband is forced to quit his job to take care of her. But this only makes an already bad situation worse as unpaid bills begin to pile up to the sky.

James, the husband, seeks help from God as the wife, Faith, continues to lie in bed in this 25-minute film called MY FAITH that is directed by Bruce Makau, written by Brian Munene, and executive-produced by Likarion Wainaina of Kenya.
Starring Joe Kinyua and Veronica Waceke as James and Faith, respectively, MY FAITH is a reflection of how many people start praying with lots of faith but lose the fervor and desire to pray when those prayers appear not to bear fruit.
At the peak of his problems James despairs and starts blaming God for not coming to his rescue. Despite her sickness, Faith keeps encouraging James to go up the roof and pray. The film ends miraculously. Surprisingly.

The film, that has just been screened and discussed at Nairobi’s monthly Lola Kenya Screen film on February 23, 2015 is in contention for the East African Film Network/East African Community’s Best East African Film Award at Rwanda’s inaugural Mashariki African Film Festival, March 9-14, 2015—has mostly used medium and close up shots and not too many long shots which would have been better in adding variety to the film besides establishing the setting.
The characters use Sheng and English which enables the Nairobi viewer to identify with the film. The title, MY FAITH, is suitable considering that the story talks about faith and prayer while the wife of James is also called Faith.
Sound effects used in the film were carefully picked and no unwanted sounds were captured.

The director emphasises faith and prayer as his main theme and succeeds in showing how this theme is realized in the film.
This is a good film to encourage people who have lost hope; one doesn’t have to look for Christian movies from abroad with films like MY FAITH right here at home.
