Qatar Airways has from July 1, 2015 launched five weekly flights to the Indian Ocean’s Zanzibar Island via Kilimanjaro on Tanzania mainland.
Emirates Airlines, another Persian Gulf carrier, has announced special return fares to Nairobi while British Airways has extended its class upgrade offer.

Qatar, the Arabian Gulf airline, says it will increase the flights to Zanzibar to seven from October 1, 2015. Out of the seven daily flights, three will be direct and four via Kilimanjaro.
Zanzibar is one of the three destinations in Tanzania, the others being Kilimanjaro and Dar-es-Salaam.
British Airways has extended its upgrade offer from Club to First Class for sale until July 31, 2015 and travel out by December 31, 2015 for travel to the United Kingdom, European Union and United States of America.

On its part, Emirates Airlines of Dubai has announced what it calls ‘Last Minute Fare Deals’. These are return fares to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
Travellers are invited to book by June 29, 2015 and travel from September 13 to December 10, 2015.
While Nairobi to Mumbai Economy Class return fare starts from US$463 while Business Class fare starts from US$1,315 and Nairobi to Dubai costs US$479 (Economy Class) and US$1,390 (Business Class), the fare for Nairobi to Beijing is US$965 (Economy) and US$3,457 (Business). The fare for Nairobi to New York is US$1,018(Economy) and US$3,029 (Business).

These special fares, Emirates says, do not include fuel surcharge and service fees.
