Berlinale Talents welcomes applications from actors, cinematographers, directors, distributors, editors, film critics, producers, production designers, sales agents, screenwriters, score composers, Sound designers and a host of other practitioners in the various departments of moviemaking industry.If you consider yourself among the world’s top emerging film and TV series professionals and would like to hone your skills, get input from your peers and leading lights of movie industry gurus, then apply for a six-day talent development programme by September 3, 2018.

Known as Berlinale Talents and offered by Berlin International Film Festival of Germany, the organisers say theirs is a hub for creativity, collaboration and discovery from which you can make a wealth of new contacts and get substantial feedback on your progress in the movie sector.

Berlinale Talents invites film journalists and critics to apply for the Berinale's Talent Press.“Every year, more than 100 experts join the Talents for talks, screenings, case-studies, workshops and project labs,” Berlinale says in its invitation for applications for the event scheduled for February 9 – 14, 2019 in the German capital. “In the past, Meryl Streep discussed women’s evolving role in Hollywood, Lav Diaz shared the stories between the lines of his scripts, and film composer RyÅ«ichi Sakamoto improvised live on the piano. Further topics discussed range from queer cinema to top-notch lighting concepts, from team building to co-producing, or the latest innovations in VR.”

The festival says the programme is “open to filmmakers and drama series creators in the early stages of their careers who have already made two or more shorts, a feature film or a high-quality TV series that have screened internationally or won awards.”
