Delphine Traoré, a native of Burkina Faso, joined Allianz Group in 2005 with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) Canada.Delphine Traoré is from November 1, 2021 set to assume the role of Allianz Africa Regional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in addition to her current responsibilities as Member of the Board of Management and Regional Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Traoré, a native of Burkina Faso, joined Allianz Group in 2005 with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) Canada. She joined the Board of management of Allianz Africa as Regional Chief Operations Officer (COO) in February 2017. She is responsible for the development of Allianz’s business across Africa.

Delphine Traoré previously held the position of CEO of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) Africa, and remains a non-executive member of the Board of management of AGCS Africa.In addition, she is also sits on the board of African Risk Capacity Ltd (ARC) and Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire.

From June 2019 to September 2021, Delphine Traoré was the President of African Insurance Organization (AIO), of which she was Vice-President since May 2018.

While Forbes Africa magazine presented her in its Portraits of Women Economic Leaders in 2019, Jeune Afrique magazine ranked her among the 50 Most Influential Women in Africa in 2018. She won the Woman Leadership Award from the Africa Leadership Awards in 2015 and appears in the Top Economic Leaders of Tomorrow study by Choiseul 100 Africa in 2014 and 2015.

Between 2015 and 2017 Traoré served as President of the Insurance Institute of South Africa.

As Liability Underwriter and Head of Market Management Delphine Traoré was responsible for identifying potential markets, client and broker target segments to support business development across Canada.

Holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Accounting from University of Pittsburgh in USA, Traoré is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. She also holds a Master of Science in Insurance Management from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Traoré began her career in insurance immediately after her undergraduate studies in 1996 when she joinedOhio Casualty Group of Insurance initially as a Senior Commercial Multi-Lines Insurance Underwriter and Marketing Representative and then as Regional Underwriting Manager.

She held the positions of a Liability Underwriter and Head of Market Management before she became CEO of AGCS Africa in 2012. She joined Allianz Africa as COO in 2017 and remained a non-executive member of the Board of Management of AGCS Africa.
