Ezekiel Mutua appointed CEO of Music Copyright Society of KenyaEzekiel Mutua, the immediate former Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) has been appointed CEO of Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) with effect from March 25, 2022.

A statement to the media by Lazarus Muli who chairs the board of MCSK says the appointment of Mutua, who had a controversial exit from KFCB in August 2021 shortly after the management board of KFCB had extended his term,  “follows rigorous competitive interviews in which he emerged top among the candidates who were interviewed for the position.”

Muli’s statement says “Mutua brings to MCSK great wealth of experience in leadership. media and communications, having served in various top leadership positions, both in the public and private sectors.”

Describing Mutua as a “consummate media professional with immense passion for leadership, communication and opinion-driving,” Muli says MCSK has “the faith that his passion for excellence as attested by his exemplary performance in the previous positions he has held, will help us to steer the MCSK to the next level.”

MCSK appeals “to all our local and international stakeholders to accord Dr Mutua the necessary support  and goodwill in the execution of his duties.”
