British Art Fair, the marketplace for Modern and Contemporary British Art, announces the galleries who are taking part in its 31st edition to be held September 29 – October 2, 2022 at London’s iconic Saatchi Gallery.
British Art Fair is under new ownership having been bought by the global group Ramsay Fairs from the Sandelson brothers earlier this year. It will open its doors again after a two year interval due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The participating galleries include the UK’s best dealers in Modern British Art such as Osborne Samuel Gallery, Piano Nobile, Jonathan Clark and many more, some of whom have been with the fair since its inception in 1988.
New this year are ten contemporary galleries who will each be showing the work of one British artist in a second floor showcase curated by Zavier Ellis of CHARLIE SMITH. The space is titled SOLO CONTEMPORARY.

There are also three special exhibitions: Paintings by the Scottish artist and writer William Johnstone OBE (1897–1981) Principal of Central School of Arts and Crafts 1947-1960; A selection of work by Royal Scottish Academy graduates; The Ingram Collection of Modern British Art curated by its director, Jo Baring. WaterAid is the fair’s official charity for 2022.
This year has also seen the launch of BLAST Magazine. Written by Art Sales Correspondent, Colin Gleadell, this bi-monthly publication, published by British Art Fair, offers exclusive content on the British Art Market, sales of which have been soaring this summer.
