The Lake Victoria Festival of Art (LAFESTA), that was to have been held at various venues in Kisumu, western Kenya, September 30 – October 3, 2010, has been put on hold indefinitely.Instead, hosts Kisumu Cultural Forum are holding a one-day drama extravaganza on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 10.00 am at Ofafa Hall in Kisumu town.
A Press Release from Albert Wandago, the LAFESTA Festival Director, simply says, “This is to inform you that the above festival has been postponed till further notice due to delayed funding and late confirmation by some partners. We shall give you a new date as soon as is decided.Thank you for your support.”
