International Arrivals area at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International AirportKenya’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi has been granted category 1 status by the United States of America’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

This paves way for direct flights to commence between Nairobi and USA.This is likely to be good news for Kenya’s flag carrier, Kenya Airways (KQ), that has been coveting the US route for a while now. This could also enable KQ to compete effectively against Ethiopia’s Ethiopian, South Africa’s South African and Morocco’s Air Maroc that already have direct flights to USA from Addis Ababa, Johannesburg and Casablanca.

In this exhibition that opened to the public on 14 February, St Valentine’s Day, we celebrate love with paintings, photography, sculpture as well as objects and stories from our museum collection.
