You can now fly to Europe from Kenya for fares starting from US$840 that are inclusive of all taxes.
Lufthansa Airlines of Germany, that flies out of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, at 2310 hours except on Monday and Thursday, says the US$840 fare is not only inclusive of all taxes but that it can also take you to any European destination it flies to.

This offer by Lufthansa comes at a time when Kenya’s national carrier, Kenya Airways, says it has revived its on-and-off love affair with fellow Skyteam Alliance member, Italy’s Società Aerea Italiana that trades as Alitalia.
The code share agreement, Kenya Airways that is popularly known as KQ says, shall give you what it refers to as ‘enhanced connections to Europe through Rome to 16 domestic Italian destinations and 11 international destinations’.

And you need not buy many tickets as just one ticket is all you need to enjoy this seamless travel experience on both alitalia and Kenya Airways, according to the code share agreement between the Italian and Kenyan carriers.
Besides the code share services and what is described as ‘more convenient flight connections’, the agreement also offers you the opportunity to earn and redeem miles on the entire network operated by both airlines.

Meanwhile, Rwanda has banned Boeing 737 Max 8 from its airspace. This follows the crash of a Boeing 737 Max 8 operated by Ethiopian Airlines on March 10, 2019 in which all 157 people aboard perished. Many countries, including Ethiopia, Britain, Singapore and China have suspended the Boeing 737 Max 8 from service. This has forced the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States of America to order the grounding of all Boeing 737 Max 8, Boeing 737 Max 9 and all Max series as investigation into what caused the Ethiopian crash on March 10 and that of Lion Air of Indonesia five months earlier on October 29, 2018, is conducted with a view to ensuring the plane is safe.
