Meanwhile Musicians For Musicians, a campaign aimed at raising funds to cushion musicians against the adverse effects of the Coronavirus, shall release a digital album titled Musicians For Musicians: Many Voices on a Theme of Isolation on July 3, 2020 ‘to coincide with the next direct-to-artist sale day’, Angie Lemon PR says.
The Musicians For Musicians initiative is run by violinist Amelia Conway-Jones, a member of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House who has also worked with the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Academy of St Martin in the Fields and Orchestra of the Swan, as well as working as a session musician.

Being aware of the the tightrope existence of being a freelance musician in a locked down world, Amelia Conway-Jones ‘started the Musicians For Musicians fundraising campaign through JustGiving, all proceeds going to the charity Help Musicians’, Angie Lemon PR says. “Through the generosity of music makers and music lovers, the page has grown well and raised almost £16,000 so far, including Gift Aid. Amelia’s goal is to reach £100,000.”
“Since the shut down of the industry in March,” Amelia Conway-Jones says, “Help Musicians have provided urgent financial assistance to 16,700 UK musicians in severe financial hardship and I feel passionately that I want to help them to help even more.”
