Suba (‘sunrise’ in Mandinka language of West Africa), a music album that could be described as a hymn to hope, compassion and change in a post-COVID19 pandemic world, is set for release worldwide on October 22, 2021.
A visceral reiteration of humanity’s perennial prayer for peace and unity, Suba is the second collaborative album from seven-time GRAMMY award-nominated pianist Omar Sosa and BBC Radio 2 Folk Musician Of The Year 2019 Seckou Keita.

The recording shares a rare type of magic as the kora scatters handfuls of light on the waves, the piano ploughing its furrow that give the album the dignity of a mellow, unhurried grace.
While Omar Sosa is one of Cuba’s most prolific jazz artists, Keita is a Senegalese kora master.
