Works on the 42-km Kasarani–Aquilla–Ndabibi–Kongoni Road in Nakuru County have reached the tarmacking stage.

The Sh3.7 billion infrastructure initiative is in Maella Ward in Naivasha Sub-County.
Launched on October 29, 2025, the road connects Kasarani, Aquilla, Kongoni, Olkaria and Ndabibi.

The earth and gravel road is being upgraded to bitumen standards with improved drainage, pavements and modern signage.

Once completed, the road is expected to lower transport costs and travel times, boosting local agriculture, trade and export opportunities.
It shall also give a boost to tourism as it improves access routes around the North Lake area of Lake Naivasha and Olkaria geothermal zones.
The road works are implemented by the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA).
