Participate in Kenya's Wildest TriathlonOrganisers of Mugie Triathon have invited sports enthusiasts to to register for what is touted as being Kenya’s wildest triathlon.

Laid out in the expansive and beautiful Mugie Conservancy located within Kenya’s Laikipia Plateau on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, the sixth edition of the Mugie Triathlon is set for October 15, 2023 from 8:00 AM.

Contestants shall take part in a 750m open water swim in the Mugie Dam followed by a 20KM off road cycle through the expansive conservancy and finish off with a 5KM trail run. Children, too, shall have their own age category events.

The events on the day include the following:-

  • Adult Team challenge – (2-3 people)
  • Children’s Race 1: Swim 250M Cycle 5KM, Run 2KM
  • Children’s Race 2: Swim – 100M, Cycle 2.5KM, Run 1KM
  • Children’s Race 3: Swim – 50M, Cycle 1km, Run – Obstacle course

The Mugie team will provide the following special accommodation offers for the nights of August 14 and 15:

  • Self-camping: The Boat House Campsite (situated next to Mugie Dam includes: Toilets, shower, firewood, security and water)
  • Mobile Camp: Tango Charlie Campsite (15 minutes drive from main triathlon site).
    A campsite with pre-set tents, camp beds, hot bucket showers and eco-friendly toilets.
