The western Kenyan town of Kisumu is between October 4 and December 12, 2013 hosting an exhibition of jewellery and paintings titled Jo’Olow: Jewellery & Painting Exhibition.
Held at Kisumu Museum between 9.00 AM and 5.00 PM daily, a publicity release on the show says the “exhibition revolves around the ‘Myth of Jo’Olow’, a legend among the fish-eating community for having used his talent to provide for them.”

Meanwhile, the Affordable Art Show opens at Nairobi National Museum (NNM) this evening, October 25, 2013 and runs through the weekend.
It is a fund-raising event organised by the Kenya Museum Society with the aim of supporting the Permanent Art Collection at NNM.
The show is expected to kick off at 6.00PM with an opening party in the Atrium behind the Louis Leakey Auditorium that is planned to run till 9.00PM. The entry fee of Sh500 per person (for Friday only) shall cover a drink, snacks and entertainment. There shall be no entry fee on Saturday and Sunday, 10.00 AM – 4.00 PM.
