A single US$100 visa is all an international visitor will need to access Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda from 2014. The three East Africa Community countries are working on the possibility of tourists using a single entry visa to all the three countries without additional charges to the visitors.

The move is said to be aimed at increasing the number of visitors, services, goods and revenue circulation in the three countries that are working on what they describe as a formula for equitable sharing of the foreign exchange collected.
Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda are moving ahead in the framework of the Coalition of the Willing without Tanzania whose objections to faster integration of the 5-member EAC bloc are said to be preventing the region from making faster progress. Uganda and Kenya have already hosted meetings attended by the three partners without Tanzania that also belongs to the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) grouping of countries in southern Africa.
