The organisers, who have introduced what they call Bayimba Card for festival-goers, say festival visitors will automatically become Regular Members of Bayimba upon purchasing tickets.An annual arts festival that has taken place in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, over the past decade has relocated to the shores of Lake Victoria for its 11th edition.

Known as Bayimba International Festival and reported to be attracting fans from all walks of life, the event shall take place on Lunkulu Island on the shores of Lake Victoria, off Mukono/Katosi road, 42 km from Kampala and 60 km from Jinja, August 2 – 5, 2018.

Bayimba Cultural Foundation, the organisers of the event, say the multi-disciplinary arts festival is in 2018 showcasing ‘a wave of productions and performances for its 11th edition’.

“You will be registered online and receive a Bayimba Card that enables you to make cash-free transactions during the festival, purchase products and goods on location and participate in raffles and prize and hamper give-aways during the festival,” Bayimba Cultural Foundation says.
